Šo “džeza” mūziķu kvartetu no Nīderlandes mēs gribam pieminēt tādēļ, ka tajā spēlē izcils akordeonists no Latvijas – Rustams Bagirovs.
Mūziķu grupa savu radošo darbību sāka pirms dažiem gadiem, kad Nīderlandes ArtEZ konservatorijas studenti Dominik Helmle (bungas), Dennis Bowens (bass) un Christoph Korzec (ģitāra) apvienojās trio satāvā , ar mērķi – spēlēt savu, orģinālo mūziku. Drīz vien tika ieskaņoti pirmie skaņdarbi.
Pēc laika grupas līderis Christoph Korzec nolēma paplašināt ansambļa skanējumu. Ģitārista Al Di Meolas mūzikas ierakstu ietekmē viņš uzaicināja grupā savu draugu – Latvijas akordeonistu Rustamu Bagirovu, pārvēršot trio par kvartetu.
Kā raksturot šīs grupas mūziku? Iedomājieties lielu, un pamatīgu koku, kas saka; “Roks”. Savukārt koka ekstremitātes (kājas, rokas un aste) saka’; “Džezs”. Christoph Korzec ir galvenais mūzikas autors, kurš ietekmējies no tādiem mūziķiem, kā Michael Landau , Scott Henderson , Al di Meola un Pat Metheny. Šīs ietekmes un princips, palikt uzticīgiem sev, spēlējot savu mūziku tā, lai tā labi skan, ir galvenās grupas muzikālās prioritātes.

The Christoph Korzec Quartett
The idea for this band established a few years ago, when Dominik Helmle (drums), Dennis Bowens (bass) and Christoph Korzec (guitar) were still studying together at the ArtEZ conservatory in Arnhem. The band started out as a trio, with the main goal to write original material. Soon the first songs were written and played.
As time passed by, Christoph decided to give the band a different sound. Through the music of Al di Meola, he got aware of the nice sound and the possibilities of the accordion. So co – musician and friend Rustam Bagirov on the accordion was asked to join the band.
How can the music be described? Well, imagine a nice, big and solid tree that says „Rock!“, with limbs that say „Jazz“. As Christoph being the main Songwriter, he is mainly influenced by rock and jazz, and artists like Michael Landau, Scott Henderson, Al di Meola or Pat Metheny. All of the above, combined with the attitude to stay true to yourself, and just play what sounds and feels good, defines the sound of the band.
